JOB TITLE: Paving/Pavement Maintenance Laborer

LOCATION: Billings, MT

STATUS: Hourly/non-exempt

Job Description:

The paving and pavement maintenance Laborer will perform tasks involving physical labor at parking lots and roadways by operating one or several types of maintenance equipment. This position may also require routine repair and maintenance of equipment in addition to other duties.

Pavement Maintenance Crew Laborer Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Use of vacuum truck, push blower and/or wire broom to clean surface prior to application of seal coat or crack fill material.
• Preparation of surface utilizing an asphalt crack router to open surface cracks prior to
• Application of crack fill material utilizing a crack seal kettle and a
• Application of seal coat material utilizing a long handled squeegee and/or spray
• Manual labor including shoveling, brooming and
• Occasional equipment operation; including a skid steer or highway broom
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualification/Requirement

• Ability to work in a variety of weather conditions including heat, cold, wind, rain, and dusty
• Must be willing to travel and work away from home when

• Ability to work in a team setting
• Communication skills; Ability to communicate with supervisors, co-workers, contractors and the general public in a courteous, professional manner at all times.
